1. Background:

Kabi holds an important place in the history of Sikkim as the treaty of brotherhood was signed between Thikung Thek, Nikung Nek and Kheybumsa at Kabi Lungchok.Kabi is approximately 17 KMs away from capital city Gangtok on the northern highway of the state and has important monasteries like Phodong Monastery and Labrang Monastery.
